If you use nicotine pouches, read this
Zyn, On!, Velo — it doesn't matter which. You park it in the same place every time, and almost nobody decides to do that on purpose. Answer five questions and I'll tell you exactly how many days that one patch of gum has spent under a pouch this year.
Got a pouch in right now? That's how long it has been sitting on the same patch of gum since you opened this page. Now do that five times a day, every day, for two years.
20 seconds. No account, and no email needed to see your number.

Every spot you actually use — not where you think you should. Most people tap one.

I'll send your numbers written up properly, plus the part the calculator can't show you.
Recession from pouches shows up as a single notch, in the one place you always place. Case reports document it at around 11 months of daily single-site use. It stays local because the cause is local: constant pressure, flavourants and pH modulators held against the tissue, and nicotine constricting the vessels that would otherwise repair it.
Rotating four or more sites largely spares users from the outcomes documented so far. It costs nothing, and almost nobody using pouches has been told.
Rotation does nothing for tissue that's already sore. That's the part I'm building for.
Dr. Zee · DDS
I'm a dentist. I kept seeing the same thing in people who use nicotine pouches — not a mouth full of problems, just one notch of receded gum, always in the same place, always on the side they favour.
When I went looking for something to hand them, there was nothing. Plenty of warnings from dentists like me. No product. And the advice that actually helps — rotate your placement across four sites — was sitting in clinical papers nobody outside dentistry reads.
So I built this calculator to show people their own number. And I'm building the thing rotation can't fix: something for gum that's already sore. No alcohol, no sting, buffered to bring the site back toward neutral after a pouch comes out.
I'm not here to tell you to quit. I'm here so that in ten years you still have the gum you started with.
This tool multiplies out the numbers you enter. It is not a diagnosis, a risk score, or a prediction about your health. If you have a lesion, a white patch, or a sore that hasn't healed in two weeks, see a dentist in person. Recession timing and rotation findings are from case reports and a systematic review of pouch users summarised in 2026.
